About Robert Sietsema:
Robert Sietsema was born in St. Joseph, Michigan, and grew up in Chicago, Minneapolis, and Dallas. After getting his bachelors at the University of Texas at Austin and masters at the University of Wisconsin at Madison, he moved to New York City, and now he can think of living nowhere else. After working a series of odd jobs, and playing bass in the band Mofungo, he started the world's first food fanzine, Down the Hatch, and parlayed that into a career as restaurant critic at the Village Voice, which he has been doing for 14 years. He's also a regular contributor to Gourmet magazine. Sietsema has a wife who's a textile designer, and a daughter who's an engineer at Google.
About Sarah DiGregorio:
Sarah DiGregorio started writing about food after attending cooking school in Los Angeles. She has written for Angeleno magazine, Saveur, Gastronomica, Chile Pepper magazine, Time Out New York and Elegant Bride, and is now a staff writer at the Voice. One of her articles appears in the newly released book, Best Food Writing of 2008.
